Minutes 7-23-13
Minutes of Commission meeting held on July 23, 2013.

Present were: James Wettlaufer, Chairperson, Marcia Beal, Neal Byrne, Patricia Caron and Fran Gallo.

7:10 p.m.  James Wettlaufer, Chairperson called the meeting to order.  The minutes of July 9, 2013 were read and accepted and will be distributed.

Old Business:
Certificate of Compliance was sent to the following:
  • Michael Thibeault for Faith Paul, DEP File #184-0284;
  • John Phelps, DEP File #184-0282;
  • Attorney George Davis for the Hemingway Family Trust, DEP File #184-25.
Mail:
We received from Jalbert Engineering a Notice of Intent for Joseph DiGeronimo to raze and construct a single family residence and associated site work at 53 Mashapaug Rd. August 13, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. is tentatively scheduled for his Public Hearing if he agrees.

7:30 p.m.  The scheduled continued Public Hearing of a Notice of Intent for Elias Hanna’s project, DEP File #184-0287 to build a new house and subsurface disposal system at the corner of Sturbridge Rd. and Leno Rd, Lot 1 was not held.  
Chairman James Wettlaufer received an e-mail from Michael F. Loin of Bertin Engineering formally requesting “to continue the Public Hearing for Elias Hanna to your next scheduled meeting date.  This extension will give both the town and Mr. Hanna time to research the lot so everyone can make informed decisions”.

August 13, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. is tentatively scheduled for his Public Hearing if he agrees.

8:15 p.m.  The scheduled Public Hearing for Joseph and Annette Niemiroski’s project, DEP File #184-0288 to remove cottage and construct a new family home at 25 Old County Rd., was held. Present were Joseph Niemiroski, Sparky LaMontagne, builder and Mark Farrell of Green Hill Engineering.  No abutters came.  Mark Farrell presented the project.  James Wettlaufer made a motion to accept the project, seconded by Neal Byrne and all were in favor.  All parties were in favor of closing the Hearing at 8:30 p.m.

Members signed the Order of Conditions for the Niemiroski’s project, DEP File #184-0288.

8:45 p.m.  Neal Byrne made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Jim Wettlaufer.  All were in favor.
